Dr. Joel Durham, a graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia, is a Tennessee native who has been helping area residents since he first established this clinic in 2000. Dr. Jake Whitby, originally from Alamo TN, is a graduate of Logan University's chiropractic program. As an active athlete, he understands the value of chiropractic care in helping busy people cope with their daily physical demands.

  • Dr.
    Joel Durham
    Doctor of Chiropractic

    Dr. Joel, a Savannah, TN native, received his degree from Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1990. Durham Chiropractic was established November 2000, soon after Dr. Joel’s return to west Tennessee from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. His love of sports, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle motivated him to pursue a second degree, this time with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, earning him the title Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 2002. Dr. Joel serves on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Chiropractic Association and is a proud alumnus of Leadership Jackson. In 2009, Durham Chiropractic was awarded the coveted Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award for small business excellence, and earlier in 2014, Dr. Joel won a Civic Pride Award for his efforts to enrich the beauty of Jackson.

    Jake Whitby
    Doctor of Chiropractic

    Dr. Jake Whitby is from Alamo, TN.  He studied Organismal Biology at the University of Tennessee at Martin and then continued his education at Logan University where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, and golfing as well spending time with his family and friends.  He loves any and all sports — especially Volunteer football.  He enjoys meeting new people, and is thankful to be a part of the staff at Durham Chiropractic.  He is very excited to bring his knowledge and skills to help the people of West Tennessee live healthier lives.

    Office Manager

    Laurinda is our office manager as well as our insurance guru.  She graduated from Lambuth University with a degree in Foods and Nutrition.  She has been on staff at Durham Chiropractic for 5 years and loves her job here so much that she drives from Kentucky now just so she can continue to be a part of our team!

    A Jackson native, Ashley may be the first person you encounter at our office.  She brings enthusiasm and joy to everything she does, and is a delightful addition to our team.  

  • Rebecca Reed
    Front Desk Assistant

    Rebecca is the youngest member of the Durham Chiropractic team.  She is a student and has been working with us for three years.  You might not see her around as much as the rest of our staff, but that’s because she only comes in a few days a week so she can also work full time as the operations manager at The Jackson Escape Rooms.  She is in charge of most of our photography and does a lot of the work on our website.  You can check out more of her work by visiting
